nature + artifice

technology distinguishes human beings from all other living creatures. since our earliest days, we have used it to ensure our wellbeing and that of those around us.

wood has long been the material of choice for shaping the objects that inhabit our homes. through countless techniques—from primitive cuts to advanced digital fabrication—we have transformed it to meet our needs. among these objects, the table holds a central role: a place to gather, eat, and work.

in its most elemental form, wood appears as a root—an organic structure capable of supporting life and growth. this collection explores the boundary between that natural origin and contemporary technology, creating pieces that reflect the dialogue between humans and their environment.

each piece begins with a striking, certified wood root that is digitally scanned and studied. Its counterpart is then designed through CAD and fabricated using CAM processes in layered MDF, finished with high-gloss polyurethane enamel, and, in some cases, complemented with tempered glass supported by custom metal fittings.
