tributo is a design practice founded by laura and gabriela noriega in jalisco, mexico in 2013. the studio connects contemporary designers with traditional artisan communities across mexico, using design as a way to keep cultural traditions and local economies alive.

the liquid character of the molten glass bubble is the inspiration for the “basico” glasses. its shape is molded and adapted to the half sphere of the practical wooden base on which the glass rests creating an aesthetic detail, characteristic concavity of the shape of each "basico" glass. blown glass and parota wood coaster.
